percolate for december 16th... ☕
will we be able to defeat sin?

We've set the scene, met the players, and things are about to get wild. Yuna and her party have dealt with challenges before, but new revelations and the unexpected proposal throw wrenches in what was otherwise a relatively typical pilgrimage. Does this new knowledge change anything? How? As you play, pay attention to the ways characters hold on -- and let go -- to their beliefs, traditions, and tenets as we draw closer to the final showdown against Sin.

The final discussion episode of 2025 (!!) releases on December 16th! But don't worry: we'll have our GOTY episode on December 2nd to tie you over until then.

Finally: don't forget that t
his Saturday (November 22nd) at 3 pm PT, we have our monthly hangout to chat about FFX thus far! Stop by the Discord if you'd like to say hi, chat about the game, or share what YOUR GOTY backlog is looking like.

Reflection

Share your thoughts, questions, and reactions with the wider community! You can do that by writing back to this email, submitting a voice recording to be included in the next episode, sharing experiences in the community Discord, or simply pondering as you play. Here's a question to get you started:

  • The people of Spira, even Sin itself, are stuck in a never-ending cycle. What are the ways in the second half that we start to see those cycles break on more global scales and through personal stories?

Pour Over

this week's brew 🎧what we played this week and indies to keep an eye on I've returned from a quick work trip (visiting the beautiful Olso and Copenhagen!) and am beyond excited to share this week's episode with you all!
